Fin MacAuliffe had always been less than masculine, never truly confident enough to be himself. First im going to tell you that i could not put it down. I have been waiting for a m/m love story that was just that.....an actual love story and not just some trashy story with no meaning. The characters are all relatable and entertaining, the story is realistic and draws you in for more as it goes on. Fin is a character I completely related to. He sees himself as someone who will always just dream of having the hot perfect man and having love, but in fact he is the one who is being chased by the hot man. The conversations had between them feel real, the sex scenes are hot and not trashy. You live the whole story in Fins head and you grow attached to his thoughts. I found myself reacting emotionally along with Fin. This story i feel is a true representation of a gay relationship, and i feel the writer really did a great job making sure to represent the truth of that and not just have it be about gay stereotypes. Showing that their are more of us like this and not just the stereotypes portrayed out there. But dont get me wrong, the sex scenes are hot. ........all in all YOU HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!!Product details

This book was fantastic, it has an honest representation of what love is like for a gay couple, from family, money, jobs and sex. The characters are relatable on so many levels giving any reader something to discover within themselves. From the steamy and accurate love scenes to the development of the relationships I found this book to not only make me smile but also pulled at the heartstrings. In the end it made me appreciate my husband so much more.
I disagree with other reviewers about the epilogue, I found it to concisely tie up any loose ends and left me looking for tissues. A must read for any body in a passionate loving relationship, or looking for one! Kudos!
I almost didn't buy this book because some of the reviews recommended having tissues at the end. I'm glad I bought the book.
Finn is a remarkably humble trust fund baby who didn't think he would ever find someone to love him. Matt is a jock who came to terms with being gay after a failed marriage and an early career tragedy. When Finn and Matt meet, they fall in love quickly but it lasted. I smiled and was, at times, sad while I read about their journey together.
It is a very nice love story with events that most of us will face someday if we find the love of our life.
As much as I tried to put this book down I just couldn't it is that well written, so I devoured every word in just one sitting! Even though the main part of the book takes place during just the first few months of Fin (22) and Matt's (30) love story the lovely epilogue gives the reader a glimpse of the next thirty years of Fin and Matt's marriage, both the good times and the not so good....all the praise for this book and especially the author by other reviewers is well deserved indeed!!!
Since cancelling my cable I've become a voracious reader. I read everything. If a title or subject gets my attention I will read it. I do read more romance even though most stories are too good to be true but this had to be the most beautiful story I have ever read. It's a gay story so if you're really anti-gay this book is not for you. I, on the other hand, am open-minded so this isn't an issue for me. This was a simple story about two men who developed a relationship over a period of time and their relationship with family, friends and coworkers. I loved them all but I definitely loved Fin and Matt and would have enjoyed knowing them. My only complaint was it was too short and the end came too soon. I laughed and bawled - I was really drawn into this story and felt like I was standing beside these characters, hence 5 stars. There's a ton of m/m sexual scenes so if this bothers you and you can't overlook these parts then ignore this book. If you can't or don't like gay life DON'T read this book. But if you are open-minded I highly recommend this book. I don't do reviews often and I never describe the story because some reviews tell too much and then why bother reading the book? When I do a review it's because I've truly been affected by the story and this is one of those times. I will reread this book quite often.
This was a great book. It was a lovely romance which had me thinking about it for days after. I loved the characters and enjoyed their story. I read a lot of storys I enjoy- but I am motivated to write this review because of the epilogue. It really really interferes with the enjoyment of the mens' stories, and it is not necessary. I think that this is the writer's first book so she doesn't know the effect of things on readers.
I recommend this book - just don't read the epilogue.
First time I've read this author. The story wasn't that believable because it has the two main characters fall in love in almost the first few pages, without even defining the characters very well. It was an OK love story, but often pretty cliche but still very heart warming in many places. The characters were not established to the reader very well and I think this writer needs to work more on realistic passion than fantasy. Plus there were so many detailed sex scenes I think I skipped past half the book. I just wish so many writers of gay romance would not include such detailed sexual scenes, it rather cheapens the love making that is supposed to be taking place. Plus, if I wanted to read porn and get off, I'd read porn, not a romance novel!read porn, not a romance novel!
