We do not hear enough about Malcolm X in schools, unless at University and specifically perhaps in African-American studies?? I have my conspiracy theories on why. But, this book is great starter to understand Malcolm X. When reading, all of M's works, one has to comprehend the era and understand the frustration of the African-American struggle. I believe Malcolm X was beyond his times 9even for today's standards- my opinion), a brave intellect no doubt! and I happen to think that he would have changed the African-American plight even more so than other black leaders.Tags : Malcolm X: In His Own Words - Kindle edition by Nathan Lee, Nathan Lee. Interesting but short insights in his changing of mind over the years
This is just some quotes and excerpts of Malcolm X's beliefs, it's a nice consice reference.
After reading the Autiobiophary of Malcolm X, I was very interested in reading this book.
If you are a Malcolm X fan you have probably ran across most of this information before. Nothing really new here.
Malcolm X In His Own Words describes the historically accurate tale of civil rights moving to the forefront of society and what the black community feels and experiences. Mind opening and insightful. Thought provoking and controversial enough to create an understanding of the injustices endured.
good
There are many books written about Bro Malcolm and most are very good. Although I understand the premise behind this text, it is not a text that is for those like me who have read many texts about Bro. Malcolm. As an introduction to what he was about, it fits the bill. But for those who are die-hard fans of his life and works, this text leaves a lot to be desired.
